Konstantin Adamopoulos

Since May 2005 Konstantin Adamopoulos has been responsible as curator of the Bronnbacher scholarship programme for the cultural sphere of the German federal association for economics at Mannheim University. Additionally, he had a lectureship at the University of Witten/Herdecke in the summer semester 2010 on the subject of "Wer ist hier der Gestalter - über Kunst als gesellschaftliche Intervention"/"Who is the creator here - on art as social intervention".

Adamopoulos is a certified coach.

As a free lance arts journalist, exhibition organizer and project directer he has been the assistant manager of Documenta and has headed the public relations department for the Frankfurt exhibitions hall Portikus, among other things. He has also organized different events with the Museum of Modern Art in Frankfurt am Main ("Kunst und Wirtschaft und Geld - Über die Innenwirkung des Sponsoring in Unternehmen"/"Art and economics and money - on the internal impact of sponsoring in companies") and has since then led companies and artists in constructive conflicts.

The philosopher and art historian has been a teacher at various universities. Topics include "Kunst und seine Öffentlichkeit"/"Art and its public" at the University of Wuppertal in the summer semester 2007 and in the winter semester 2009/2010. As artistic director for workshops and symposiums he has developed "Ökonomie der Kunst"/"The economy of art" (Dresden 2003), "Der Begriff des Kapitals fordert Intuition"/"The term of 'capital' demands intuition" (Museum Ludwig, Cologne 2005) and "Leitsysteme zum Neuen?"/"Guidance systems into the new?" (2006 for the future workshop of the federal state capitol Dresden). His most recent exhibitions: "Zidane's Melancholia"/"Zidane's melancholy" (Kaiser Wilhelm Museum, Krefeld 2008) and "Deutschland Deutschland"/"Germany Germany" (Museum Van Bommel Van Dam, Venlo 2008).

Konstantin Adamopoulos regularly publishes on the topic of business and art.

Konstantin Adamopoulos verantwortet seit Mai 2005 als Kurator das Bronnbacher Stipendienprogramm für den Kulturkreis der deutschen Wirtschaft im Bundesverband der Deutschen Industrie an der Universität Mannheim. Im Sommersemester 2010 hatte er zusätzlich einen Lehraustrag zum Thema "Wer ist hier der Gestalter - über Kunst als gesellschaftliche Intervention" an der Universität Witten/Herdecke angenommen.

Er ist zertifizierter Coach.

Als freier Kunstjournalist, Ausstellungsmacher und Projektleiter war er u. a. Assistent des Geschäftsführers der Documenta, leitete die Pressearbeit für die Frankfurter Ausstellungshalle Portikus, organisierte diverse Veranstaltungen mit dem Museum für Moderne Kunst in Frankfurt am Main ("Kunst und Wirtschaft und Geld - Über die Innenwirkung des Sponsoring in Unternehmen") und führt seitdem Unternehmen und KünstlerInnen in konstruktive Auseinandersetzung.

Der studierte Philosoph und Kunsthistoriker ist regelmäßig Dozent an Hochschulen, wie z.B. zum Thema "Kunst und seine Öffentlichkeit" an der Bergische Universität Wuppertal im Sommersemester 2007 und Wintersemester 2009/10.

Als künstlerischer Leiter für Workshops und Symposien entwickelte er z.B. "Ökonomie der Kunst" (Dresden 2003), "Der Begriff des Kapitals fordert Intuition" (Museum Ludwig, Köln 2005), und "Leitsysteme zum Neuen?" (2006 für die Zukunftswerkstatt der Landeshauptstadt Dresden).

Letzte Ausstellungsprojekte: "Zidane's Melancholia" (Kaiser-Wilhelm-Museum, Krefeld 2008), "Deutschland Deutschland" (Museum Van Bommel Van Dam, Venlo 2008).
